Start the Sleigh, Santa. We’re Ready to Help! Everything should be mulling by now, Santa is probably polishing his sleigh, and while in the lane the snow is yet to be glistening, Chocolate Fayre has once again been transformed into a Winter Wonderland!
Many of you will be familiar with some of the annual delectable delights you’ll find through the doors at Chocolate Fayre at this time of year. There are traditional items and must-haves which have been a traditional feature of your Christmas celebrations for many years now. While there are also new additions to the treats and gifts which are designed to give the wow factor of surprise and enjoyment for anyone fortunate to be receiving gifts from you.
Advent Calendars come in all shapes and sizes these days. But for a unique Chocolate Fayre take on the idea, try the Snow in the Park or Deer in the Snow calendars, each filled with 24 chocolates from our chocolate cabinet, with flavours and designs getting ever more festive as you approach the final days to Christmas.
Of course, you have come to expect chocolate gift boxes, filled with limited edition seasonal chocolates, along side our familiar year-round chocolate range. This year, we have our redesigned Christmas Collection, featuring a range of family-friendly Christmas chocolates entirely alcohol free, presented in attractive keep sake boxes. However if Christmas goes hand-in-hand with liqueurs, we also have the Festive Cheer Selection, featuring only chocolates with boozy flavours, in addition to traditional liqueur sets from Asbach cherry brandy, and Anthon Berg branded liqueurs. The must-have centre-piece this year is the giant Poisnettia Collection. Again, we have redesigned this one for 2025, cramming 76 chocolates inside this beautiful gift box, which measures 30cm across, and weighs in at over 1kg!
For those looking for something with a little less chocolate, we have a whole section of the shop dedicated to marzipan. This includes a range of products from Niederegger in Germany, who are masters of marzipan, with their high almond content, delicately light aromatic marzipan as pure chocolate coated logs, or in a range of flavours. These sit alongside our tradition British marzipan fruits, and the sought after Mozart Truffle (Kugeln) with their more-ish combination of pistachio marzipan, almond marzipan, hazelnut praline, milk and dark chocolate. Or there are unusual items such as Marrons Glacé – candied chestnuts from Italy; Turkish Delight in rose water, lemon and pomegranate, fruit jellies,dark chocolate coated orangettes, buttered brazils, or fruit & nut bites, from our Sweet Treats section.
Then there are stacks of stocking fillers and novelty chocolate gifts, such as the ever-popular Christmas Figures, chocolate Christmas Jumpers, reindeer on droppings or even chocolate Pigs in Blankets!
