PLEASE REMEMBER that the delivery network is always significantly busy in the lead up to Christmas, so please plan ahead with your postal orders. Our deadlines for last orders to guarantee delivery in time for Christmas are:
Monday 11th December for 2nd class standard delivery
Thursday 14th December for 1st class delivery
After these dates, we will continue to take orders and dispatch them as fast as we can, but cannot guarantee that they will arrive before Christmas.
The following are our standard postage and packaging estimated timescales and prices for delivery within the UK. While we will always endeavour to get your orders packed and dispatched as fast as possible (and usually the same day), delivery timings may be longer during particularly busy periods, such as Christmas and Easter. Prices are fixed regardless of the size of order and are for delivery to a single specified address:
Local Pickup (Click & Collect from Chocolate Fayre Shop, Barnard Castle, 24 hours after ordering, or the next business day) FREE
Standard Delivery (3-5 business days) £3.95
First Class (1-2 business days) £5.95
Orders must be placed before 2pm on business days (i.e. not weekends or English public holidays) to be dispatched the same day. Otherwise they will be dispatched the next business day and arrive within the timeframes stated above from that dispatch date.
Orders which are to be collected from the Chocolate Fayre shop in person, will be available 24 hours after the order has been successfully placed, or the next business day. These can be collected during opening hours, which are currently Mondays to Fridays from 10am to 3pm, (we are currently closed at weekends).
Delivery is by Royal Mail or Parcel Force for larger items, unless otherwise stated by us. If nobody is available to accept the delivery, then a calling card will be left for the recipient to re-arrange delivery or to collect the chocolates from your local Royal Mail sorting office. Please note that there are no deliveries on Sundays or UK public holidays. It is not the responsibility of Chocolate Fayre or Royal Mail if a delivery cannot be made due to the recipient not being in or available to take the delivery, and many of our products do not fit through letter boxes.
It is the responsibility of the customer to enter the correct billing and dispatch address and name details. In the event that an order does not reach its destination on time or at all due to an error in the dispatch address submitted with the order, Chocolate Fayre will not be held liable for any loss to the customer. In the event that an order is returned by Royal Mail, Chocolate Fayre will do its best to contact the customer and arrange redelivery. The customer may require to pay additional postage costs for this to be completed.
International delivery can be arranged, and a quote for this can be provided upon request. Please contact us via our contact form here giving details of what you would like to send and which country it is going to be sent to.
