Happy New Year! We hope you had a happy and healthy festive period. Following our Christmas break, we’re getting ready to be back in operation under lockdown conditions once again. With the serious situation across the NHS, we have put in place measures to make sure you can still safely get your chocolate treats and gifts from Chocolate Fayre. Please read on to find out how…
During Lockdown III, you can get hold of Chocolate Fayre products by two methods: either posted out across the UK, or to collect in person from our Barnard Castle shop as a Local Pickup. For postal orders over £25, we will pay for standard postage to make it easier for you not to have to leave the house, keeping everyone safer.
All items must be ordered and paid for in advance, with no face to face purchases possible during this lockdown, unfortunately.
The preferred method for ordering is via the Chocolate Fayre website for posting out, which will be taking orders again from Saturday 9th January. However if this is not possible, please call us on 01833 631 307 and we can take your order and payment securely over the phone when we open again from Monday 11th January.
While the Post Office and delivery networks are still very busy, we are not experiencing the kinds of delays we saw before Christmas in getting orders out across the UK. However some orders are still taking their full 5 working days (that’s one week) to reach customers, so please bear that in mind when ordering. We really appreciate your patience when waiting for orders to arrive by post.
If you are collecting a Local Pickup from the Chocolate Fayre shop, we are operating slightly reduced hours of Mondays to Fridays 10am-4:30pm during lockdown. If these times are unsuitable, then we can always post any items out to you (anything except ice cream, that is!). It is a strictly one customer in the shop at a time situation again during this lockdown, and you will find that you will be unable to browse in the usual way, while we try to minimise contact between our customers and our staff, and reduce the amount of time spent in Chocolate Fayre.
We appreciate that this is not how you usually like to enjoy your Chocolate Fayre experience, however hopefully it won’t be for too much longer, and we can return to some sort of normality once again.
Finally, thank you so much for your continued support throughout these challenging times. We are very much looking forward to a time when we can welcome you back to enjoy the Secret Garden, try some free samples, and have a chat over the chocolate counter with us without feeling at risk or rushed, in order to continue Spreading Happiness with Chocolate.
Take care of yourselves and each other, be kind and all of our best wishes.
Kenny and Sarah and the Chocolate Fayre Team.
